The extraordinary new custom built mansion that was under construction at 880 Centrillion Drive, McLean, Virginia  22102 is now complete and called “Skyfall.”  Built by renowned local builder — the Galileo Group — the owners of this exquisite new residence will enjoy a pool and beautifully landscaped grounds by Fine Landscapes among other luxurious amenities.  This grand estate home was built on 2.5 acres of land that is surrounded by a protected piece of property — a conservation easement.  The land was purchased for $1,500,000 on 2/22/13 (with cash while it was not listed in the MLS) and cost close to another $1 M to develop the land on which the residence and all it’s wonderful amenities were built, according to the real estate agent that previously had the lot listed for sale.  The cost for construction of this home is not public information, but a good estimate for the total cost to build this luxurious estate would be somewhere between $7 and 8 million based on the builder, finishes and quality of building materials — including a stone bridge over a creek for the driveway to the main house, a solid mahogany front entry door, copper over-sized gutters and downspouts, a slate roof, a solid building stone (not a veneer) exterior with natural cedar shingle accents, several masonry fireplaces, working shutters, and a large backup generator — just to name a few.  The great attention to detail is obvious — there’s even a two-car garage tucked into the hillside.

The lot was originally listed for sale for $2,350,000 on 6/14/08. This listing expired on 12/3/08. It was put back on the market on 1/22/09 for $1,999,500, reduced to 1,895,000 on 10/1/09, and subsequently was withdrawn from the market on 9/14/10. It was re-listed again on 6/3/11 for $1,769,000.  It was on the market for 544 days before it was withdrawn from the market on 11/28/12.

A home to be constructed by the Gulick Group was listed for $7,500,000 on 2/25/08, then it was reduced to $5,500,000 on 10/1/09, and subsequently withdrawn from the market on 12/10/09. It was put back on the market on 4/19/11 for $5,500,000.  The original residence advertised and to be built by the Gulick Group on the 2 1/2 acres is surrounded by a Conservation easement. The luxury residence was to include almost 14,000 sq.ft. of living space, a 4-car garage with a bonus room above, 5 bedrooms on the upper level, a finished lower level and much more. That listing was withdrawn on 11/28/12.

After completing her MBA in 1996, she joined CIG International (a Washington-based residential real estate investment firm) as Vice President where she conducted extensive due diligence investigations of real estate investment opportunities and oversaw ongoing investment projects. Tania became a residential real estate agent in 2006.
